Jenni's Ugly Chocolates uses farm-fresh ingredients whenever possible. I've tried the recipes with emergency replacements from the good ol' grocery, but I tell ya, I'm disappointed with the batch every time. Our local Eastern NC farmers produce the highest quality honey, nuts, booze, and my personal favorite: coffee beans.
Is there really a difference in flavor between untempered and tempered chocolate? We think so. The cocoa butter is thicker and coats your palate, draws out the tasting experience and leaves me more satisfied with a single bite.
